The Arc of Union County: Making a Difference in Local Lives Jessica was born in 1997 into a loving and supportive family. While pregnant, her mother discovered that the baby she was carrying had Down syndrome. When Jessie was only two months old, she was enrolled in The Arc of Union County’s Early Intervention Program. Today, Jessie is a happy, good-natured and energetic 3rd grader. She is determined to live her life to the fullest and has modeled for various publications including Toys R Us and Girl Scout catalogs, and also appeared on an episode of Sesame Street. Jessie also participates in Special Olympics Track & Field and enjoys gymnastics, bowling, softball, and karate. Read the rest of Jessie's story... Jack Walter, age 4, helps the Westfield United Way say thank you to donors and volunteers for another home run by raising a record $715,000 through the 2007/2008 annual campaign. Dollars raised will go directly towards building a stronger community by funding the 18 human care agencies that support our most vulnerable neighbors.
